Position Purpose: The Program Facilitator Alberta Global Talent contributes to C.A.R.E.’s mission and vision by supporting immigrant employ-ability in offering workshops to employers and businesses to help them maximize their readiness to hire qualified immigrants, and broadening career support networks in Central Alberta.

Accountability: Reporting to the Community Connections Manager, the Program Facilitator Alberta Global Talent works with considerable independence according to established program objectives, individually and as a member of the Alberta Global Talent team and C.A.R.E. organization.

Key Responsibilities:
1) Identify, build and maintain relationships and collaboration with employers, businesses, business associations, etc. to establish valuable networking contacts to offer Alberta Global Talent services.
2) Promote and market Alberta Global Talent for employers, HR, intercultural training for employees, networking sessions, etc. through Alberta Global Talent website, Facebook and other social media platforms.
3) Plan, organize, and deliver Alberta Global Talent workshops for business and employer groups in Central Alberta.
4) Organize employer networking sessions to promote cultural diversity and identify new business and partnership building opportunities to offer workshops/training and generate interest in hiring immigrants. Plan and organize Annual Employer Forum networking event.
5) Ensure accurate administration and effective reports and proposals which adhere to the requirements of the contribution/funding agreements and accountability guidelines.

Performance Indicators:
 Number of Alberta Global Talent workshops for employers.
 Number of relationships established with employers per year in support of the position purpose.
 Level of engagement of employers in training and networking sessions
 Level of satisfaction from participants re. value and quality of events, presentations, workshops, relationships
 Accuracy in maintaining program records and timely submission of the reports to funders.

Required Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
 Relevant post-secondary degree; equivalencies will be considered.
 Demonstrated sensitivity to, and understanding of, the challenges faced by newcomers to Canada.
 Experience/training related to intercultural communication an asset.
 Proven experience in building and maintaining relationships with employers, businesses and business associations.
 Community liaison experience, strong communication and networking skills. Existing connections with local employers, businesses an asset.
 Strong workshop facilitation and public speaking skills.
 Strong social media/marketing skills
 Ability to take initiative, work independently, organize one’s work and records
