The Red Deer Local Immigration Partnership (RDLIP) is a community-based partnership aiming to create a community which openly receives newcomers and creates an inclusive environment, strives to understand the needs of newcomers and provides access to a full range of services and programs, and ensures newcomers are able to participate fully in all aspects of community life and Canadian society.

Main duties include organizational support to the RDLIP, facilitation of the RDLIP Council’s work, reaching out to community stakeholders, research suggestions on community needs and assets, development and implementation of a communications strategy, consultation with partner organizations to ensure that set targets are met, and liaison with other LIPs around the country for further enhancement of the partnership.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Post-secondary degree in social sciences, community development or other related field
  • Experience with non-profit management and service providing organization
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • A minimum of 5 years with proven track record of working with multiple stakeholders to catalyze collaboration
  • Ability to foster partnerships and build community consensus
