Central Alberta Refugee Effort (C.A.R.E.) is seeking an enthusiastic instructor for our ESL program. Classes are delivered to adult immigrants. This position requires an instructor who can successfully plan and deliver learning activities that reflect the values, beliefs and needs of a culturally diverse community and that are based on the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB’s) The instructor must also provide appropriate evaluation, assessment, and feedback to students, and maintain records of achievement, attendance, and other student related information.

Must Have Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree; TESL Certification; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Interpersonal and leadership skills; Ability to work co-operatively in an interdependent team environment

Nice to Have Skills:

ATESL or TESL Canada Accreditation; Experience working with adult immigrants in an ESL setting; Understanding of the LINC program and Canadian Language Benchmarks
